Compared To (-에 비해(서))

-에 비해(서) is used to compare two things: 작년에 비해서 올해 매출이 늘었어요 (Compared to last year, this year's sales have increased). It's more formal than -보다 and provides a clearer framework for comparison.

The modifier form -에 비한 is also used: 가격에 비한 품질 (quality relative to the price). Without 서, -에 비해 is equally common and sounds slightly more formal.
